Meeting Minutes
May 3, 2004
Location: Bridgewater Public Library
Attendees: Mike Enos, Ben Walsh, Janet Salvador, Kent Kreutler, Dale Higgins, Jim Revil
Rescheduled Scotland Street bridge area clean-up for Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. Kent will check river water level on Thursday, May 20th and notify committee if area is accessible, or not. Committee will decide to conduct clean-up on May 22, as planned, or to re-schedule, as necessary.
We will take photos of Scotland Street bridge area clean-up activity and place them with a description of efforts on TRSC Web pages located within and linked from the NRTB Web site.
Discussion ensued regarding ideas for possible future actions by the committee that include:
- Signage for Scotland Street bridge and other areas;
- Fund raising for future activities - including approaching businesses for donations and Christmas tree sales. (We discussed the need to incorporate as a non-profit entity and appoint a treasurer to manage funds.)
- Develop and improve a canoe launch area in the vicinity of Route 18 in Bridgewater.
The next TRSC meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 7, 2004 @ 7:00 P.M. at the West Bridgewater Public Library
